  3. Anonymous,
Thanks! The picture was taken in Pittsburg, PA. They have many fantastic bridges there, and this one had a background of the downtown city. I would love to post some other pictures... I will find a way to make them go with France!
    Thanks,

  4. Dear Sam,

Here's an idea to connect Pittsburgh with France. Pittsburgh was originally settled by the French at the site of Fort Duquesne; when the British took over in the French-Indian wars, it became Fort Pitt in honor of William Pitt and then Pittsburgh, so Pittsburgh's original start was French! Maybe you can do some history research and post some stuff that way

  5. I love that picture of a bridge. But I am afraid of heights. Keep up the great work with the blog.

  6. Thanks Dr. Exel and Raul!
Dr. Exel, I was thinking maybe even how the French care or react about that... but to find the optimism of that?????

  7. Sam,

You make an excellent point! I am sure the French would not want to "celebrate" that aspect of their history.
Here's an idea! Gene Kelly who is from Pittsburgh was the star of An American in Paris. Maybe you could put something up about that. Just an idea.

  8. Great ideas... they don't have to neccesarily be with Pittsburg, though.
    Thanks!
